Students use the LEGO EV3 Mindstorms to build robots while exploring cross-curricular opportunities in STEM (Science, Technology, Education, Math). In addition, they are engaged in engineering designs by building complex systems and using creativity to accomplish challenges. They use software to code, test and modify sequences of instructions for a variety of life-like robotic behaviors. The “final exam” will be an EV3 Competition at the end of each  semester, including competing against area teams in the Battle Bot Competition in the Spring. First Lego League Challenge curriculum will be incorporated in the classroom. Equipment for the class is provided by the instructor.
